  From here starts an awesome hike to the summit of San Gorgonio. After you cross the dry creek bed at the trailhead, it's a mile of brutal uphill, then you hit Vivian Creek Camp. It's several miles of much flatter and more scenic trail before you eventually hit High Creek Camp at the 6 mile mark. The summit is another 3.5 miles after that. Round trip from the parking lot is about 19 miles and 6000 feet elevation gain.
